Ganxxet's Bamboo Deluxe Yarn is a fine 6 ply yarn spun from 100% bamboo. It's soft and silky in the hand, with a fluid drape and a gentle sheen similar to mercerized cotton. Dyed to OEKO-TEX® Detox to Zero standards.
It's made for light, drapey pieces you crochet or knit, like tops, dresses, shawls and throws, and for soft accessories such as headbands. Stitches come out clean and well defined, and the finished fabric flows and drapes instead of holding a stiff shape. It's cool and breathable to wear, and each 400 m skein goes a long way. It also works well for embroidery and punch needle.
Like most bamboo yarns, it's smooth and slippery, so it can split. A pointed hook or needle and medium tension help. Bamboo fabric relaxes and lengthens a little with wear, so swatch and block before you measure for a garment. It's very soft, so it isn't the best choice for braiding or holding beads in place. Machine wash on a gentle, cool cycle and dry flat.
